There is a previous owner inscription to front pastedown, no other internal markings. There is some minor wear to boards. The jacket has benefitted from some minor professional restoration, please see pics. About Metropolis is a 1925 science fiction novel by the German writer Thea von Harbou. The novel was a treatment for Fritz Lang's 1927 film
