The absence of metal shackles or rivets and the use of fiber reinforced composite make the 40 mm Carbo T2 block extremely light yet robust. The loop stop through the block's center directs the forces directly to the sheave. This relieves the strain on the cheeks and increases the block's load bearing capacity.
